I believe that at some point in every mother's life she will lose her cool. Children have this ability to push your buttons to the ultimate limit. Before I had a child, I would see a mother scolding her child in the store and think, man can't she wait until they get home. Before I had a child, I would see and hear a screaming child in the store and the mother would continue shopping completely oblivious to the child's screaming tantrum and I would think, really, you can't hear that? Why aren't you doing something? And before I had a child I would see a mother out and about looking a little haggered like she just threw whatever on and I would think, honestly...honestly...she has to own at least one mirror. NOW THAT I HAVE A CHILD, I think a little different. No the mother can't wait until she gets home to scold her child because by the time she gets home there will be four other things he has done and a mother really knows you have to catch them in the act or they have no idea what your talking about, and even when you catch them in the act...they still have no idea what you are talking about. (No I am not talking about husbands right now.) No the mother can't hear her screaming child because she has learned over time that if she semi-sanely wants to make it through the day she has to tune out the non-emergency screams. And finally, if a mother can at least shower once a day she is doing pretty good.

A few of my thoughts...

I make diaper cakes. I know it's weird. I have really unusual talents and above average time on my hands so yeah... I make diaper cakes. In fact my sister-in-laws and I signed up to do a craft show this weekend. At first it sounded like a really great idea, but talk about a lot of work and the hardest part hasn't even happened. And I am getting nervous. I am afraid that no one will find the need to buy one of my hand crafted and carefully made diaper cakes. Who couldn't use a diaper cake? We'll see if I survive. It's in Springville just off Main ST. June 13th-14th 9am-10pm

The Newest Addition to Our Family
This is the newest addition to our little family. His name is Duke. He is a 7 week old Doberman Pincher. He is the coolest puppy around. Marshall absolutely loves HIS new dog. The two of them make quite a pair. They chase each other, beat up on each other and both are total mama's boys. The only problem with Duke is that he pees and poos. I wish he didn't do that. But I guess I understand that all living animals physically need to do that so, it's not really a fault it's nature doing what nature does. It just would be easier if he didn't.

Am I really blogging?
Sooooo, I am finally entering the blogging scene. I tried to set up a blog last year and my attempt was very unsuccessful. Don't ask, it's just wasn't good. But it seems like everyone that I know has a totally adorable blog and I thought, what the heck, let's try it again. So here I finally am. Once you get the hang of it, it's not so bad.
Here we are. The three of us: Mitch, Anna, and the Marsh-Man (aka Marshall).
